Creating and Sharing Your Sound
That time has come. You’ve advanced from “Play” to “Record”. You might want to capture a riff or two. Or maybe you’re ready to launch a recording career from home.

Either way, your personal computer, an audio interface, a professional mic and some well-chosen software can give you the start of a "professional" music studio in your bedroom. In this issue of Shure Notes, we’ll cover the set-up of a basic rig.
Shure Notes online educational newsletters are published six times per year and are available for free by subscribing at www.shure.com. Shure Notes is written for musicians who are interested in learning about audio products, live sound reinforcement, and recording. The information covered is intended to introduce relevant topics by providing a broad overview, along with useful tips, techniques, and advice, on the subject matter. For more detailed information, we encourage our readers to take advantage of resource materials often identified in the articles, which may offer a more technical and/or comprehensive exploration of the subject. The K-Base on www.shure.com, is also a good source of information with referrals for published articles, white papers, websites, and books.
