"Recently, Paul Baloche asked me to stop by his church in Lindale, Texas to see if I could improve the sound system response. While the system components were good products from reputable manufacturers, the room acoustics were less than ideal, with a low ceiling and reflective parallel walls.
Fortunately, the amp rack housed a Shure P4800 processor. I was able to connect my laptop and reduce errant frequency levels as well as taper the subwoofer response to avoid the bass notes accentuated by the room.
Within an hour, we were able to bring the praise band in for rehearsal. The team was amazed at the system's increased impact, especially since we were able to drop the overall level several decibels. Paul noted the improvement in his monitor mix and how the drums' presence was restored in the house mix. All the improvements were made free of charge thanks to the P4800's powerful DSP (Digital Signal Processing)."
